The Purchasing Department was established by the Quincy City Council in November 1993 to centralize and streamline the purchasing activities of the City's 20 departments.
As a full-service department, Purchasing supports all City departments in meeting their procurement needs, including specifications, bids, quotes, proposals, and ensuring compliance with government purchasing regulations.
Our goal is to maximize the value of taxpayer dollars spent on goods and services used in City operations—ensuring efficiency, transparency, and fiscal responsibility.
The City of Quincy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and actively encourages minority-owned businesses to participate in the bidding process for goods, services, and construction projects.
