The Quincy Township Assessor assesses the value of real property based on state law, which requires assessments to be 33⅓% of the fair market value.

The Township Assessor does not handle taxes; they do not estimate, calculate, or change property taxes.

The Township Assessor maintains detailed Property Record Cards (PRCs) for each property, which owners can request.

After assessments are completed, they are sent to the Adams County Supervisor of Assessments, who handles equalization, exemptions, and is a clerk to the Board of Review.

The Board of Review hears appeals and can adjust assessments. Final values are certified and used in the property tax calculation.
