Reconstruction of Jackson Street from South 5th to South 7th Street will begin Wednesday, April 29th. Closure is expected to last until September. Work will start at the intersection of South 5th and Jackson Streets. The following closures will be in effect:• Jackson Street from IL 57 (Front St.) to South 6th Street• South 5th Street from Van Buren to Adams Street
Road Closure - Cherry Street from North 12th to North 13th and North 13th Street from Cherry to Chestnut will be closed to through traffic. Parking along North 13th adjacent to the pickleball / tennis courts at Berrian Park will be restricted. Work is expected to last up to 3 months.
The lane closure for N 3rd between Elm and College has been extended until Friday, August 28, 2026 at 3 PM.
Road Closure - Wednesday August 26th from 9am until Friday August 28th at 3pm, Jefferson St between 7th and 8th St will be closed, weather permitting, for sewer repair.
Road Closure - On Thursday August 27th starting at 8:30am until noon on Friday August 28th, Oak St between 17th and 18th St will be closed, weather permitting, for a water service renewal.

The Quincy City Council Meetings are held every Monday in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, IL 62301. If there is a recognized holiday on that day, then the Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday of that same week.
