Reconstruction of Jackson Street from South 5th to South 7th Street will begin Wednesday, April 29th. Closure is expected to last until September. Work will start at the intersection of South 5th and Jackson Streets. The following closures will be in effect:• Jackson Street from IL 57 (Front St.) to South 6th Street• South 5th Street from Van Buren to Adams Street
Road Closure - Cherry Street from North 12th to North 13th and North 13th Street from Cherry to Chestnut will be closed to through traffic. Parking along North 13th adjacent to the pickleball / tennis courts at Berrian Park will be restricted. Work is expected to last up to 3 months.
Lane Closure - Tuesday July 7th, from 7:30am until Thursday July 9th at 8am, the west north bound lane on 4th St between College and Elm St will be closed, weather permitting, for water valve install.
Installation of a new water valve will require an interruption in water service on Wednesday, July 8 from approximately 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM for customers in the following area:• 331 College Avenue & 401 College Avenue• 401 Elm Street, 414 Elm Street & 420 Elm Street• North 4th Street, Chestnut Street to College AvenueOnce service has been restored, a boil order will be in effect.
