The Quincy Preservation Commission shall consist of 13 voting members and one ex-officio non-voting member. Voting members shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council, and shall include two Aldermen selected by the Mayor as in the case of committees of the City Council. Voting members of the Quincy Preservation Commission shall be appointed on the basis of demonstrated expertise, experience or interest in the areas of architecture, art, history, building construction, engineering, finance, historical and architectural preservation, history, law, neighborhood organization, planning or real estate. The ex-officio non-voting member of the Quincy Preservation Commission shall be the Director of the Department of Planning and Development.

Meets the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers unless a conflict with City Council meetings due to a Monday holiday causes the meeting to be scheduled on Wednesday of that week.
