Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase for the City of Quincy, Illinois
I.
A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the City of Quincy, Illinois for 2025 tax year will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 7:00 PM at City Hall Council Chambers located at 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois.

II.
The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2024 tax year were $6,607,600.01.
The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2025 tax year are $7,134,021. This represents a 7.97% increase over the previous year.
III.
The property taxes extended for debt service for 2024 tax year were $1,851,401.02.
The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service for 2025 tax year are $1,850,800. This represents a 0.03% decrease from the previous year.
IV.
The total property taxes extended or abated for 2024 tax year were $8,459,001.03.
The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2025 tax year are $8,984,821. This represents a 6.22% increase over the previous year.
