Alley Resurfacing Begins October 30, 2025

The city's annual alley resurfacing project is set to begin on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
What to Expect: The first phase will involve milling out the existing pavement, followed by placement of a new asphalt surface the next day. During construction, residents should expect their alley to be inaccessible for 1-2 hours each day.
Construction Schedule: Work will begin on Quincy's north side and progress southward through the following locations:
• Spruce to Sycamore between 3rd & 4th
• Spruce to Sycamore between 4th & 5th
• Sycamore to Maple between 4th & 5th
• 13th to Spruce, south of Spruce
• Sycamore to Maple between 12th & 13th
• 6th to 7th between Lind & Chestnut
• Lind to Chestnut between 7th & 8th
• 24th to 25th between Chestnut & Cherry
• Monroe to Madison between 22nd & 23rd
• East of 24th between Vermont & Broadway
• S. 23rd to S. 24th between Jersey and Maine
• 6th to 7th between Harrison and Van Buren
• South 2nd from Kentucky to York
• State from Front to 3rd (shoulder widening)
