Mayor's Office

Linda MooreI’m Dr. Linda K. Moore, and it is my honor to serve as Mayor of the City of Quincy. This city was built on grit, hard work, and an unshakable sense of community. Our foundation is strong, and our future must be even stronger. That’s why we launched the Fix & Grow Plan — a clear, results-driven commitment to the people of Quincy: Fix what’s broken. Grow what’s possible.

This is not just a slogan. It is a call to action.

As Mayor, I am focused on delivering results through transparency, accountability, and collaboration. We are here to drive growth, improve services, invest in infrastructure, and build a city that works for everyone.

Progress takes more than promises. It takes leadership, clear priorities, and the will to make tough decisions. That is what you elected me to do, and that is what I am doing.

Let’s fix what’s broken. Let’s grow what’s possible. Let’s get to work together.

Dr. Linda K. Moore
Mayor, City of Quincy

Meet Dr. Linda K. Moore

Dr. Linda K. Moore serves as the Mayor of the City of Quincy, bringing a lifetime of local roots, national leadership experience, and an unwavering commitment to public service. A lifelong resident of Quincy, Dr. Moore is focused on delivering results through transparency, fiscal responsibility, and strategic investment in the city’s future.

Raised on North 17th Street, she grew up working in her grandfather’s neighborhood grocery store, where she learned firsthand the values of hard work, service, and community. A valedictorian of Payson Seymour High School, she went on to earn her degree from Quincy University before building a successful national career in sports media, operations, and event leadership.

Dr. Moore held key leadership roles at the 1996 Summer Olympics and ESPN, where she notably transformed the ESPY Awards into a nationally recognized charitable event. Her work in these high-profile positions was marked by innovation, organizational transformation, and measurable impact.

In 2017, Dr. Moore returned to Quincy with a mission to serve. As City Treasurer, she modernized outdated systems, streamlined financial processes, and implemented technology upgrades that saved time and taxpayer dollars — earning a reputation for accountability and results.

Now, as Mayor, Dr. Moore leads with bold vision and clear priorities. She is the architect of the Fix & Grow Plan, a straightforward commitment to fix what’s broken and grow what’s possible in every neighborhood. Her leadership is defined by action, data-driven decision-making, and a deep respect for the people who live and work in Quincy.

Dr. Moore continues to champion economic development, public safety, infrastructure investment, and good government — because she believes Quincy’s best days aren’t behind us. They’re ahead.
