Video Gaming

The City of Quincy allows specific establishments to install video gaming terminals under the Video Gaming Act of Illinois (ILCS Ch. 230, Act 40, ยงยง 1 et seq.).

Under the City of Quincy code, the number of video gaming terminals at any licensed establishment, licensed truck stop establishment, licensed veterans establishment or licensed fraternal establishment shall be limited to three (for any establishment which obtains video gaming after January 1, 2018), as opposed to five as allowed under the video gaming Act. The City shall permit establishments having video gaming in the City of Quincy prior to January 1, 2018, to have five video gaming devices, provided they obtain a Class I liquor license.

The Quincy Police Department shall inspect the place or building in which any device or devices are operated or set up for operation and to inspect, investigate and test the devices.
