Establishment of the Quincy Adams Brown County Enterprise Zone
Notice is hereby given to all interested persons that a public hearing will be held by the Quincy/Adams County Enterprise Zone Board in the Quincy City Hall, Council Chambers located at 730 Mane Street on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 6 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the proposed application for new Enterprise Zone designation in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Illinois Enterprise Zone Act (20 ILCS 655/1 et. seq.). Subject matter for the hearing will include the question of whether to create the zone, what the proposed boundaries of the new zone should be and what local plans, tax incentives and other programs should be established in connection with the enterprise zone. Copies of the proposed legal description of the zone and/or related information is or will be available at the City of Quincy Department of Planning & Development located in the Quincy City Hall Annex, 706 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois. In said public hearing, all interested persons will be given the opportunity to present both written and oral comments and testimony regarding the aforementioned Enterprise Zone subject matter. Any person wishing to appear at such public hearing and be heard may do so in person or by attorney or by other representative communication in writing in relation to such proposed amendment.
Such public hearing may be adjourned or continued from time to time to another date and or location within the City of Quincy without further notice.
