Cape Air Passenger Boardings for November 2012

QUINCY, Illinois (December 3, 2012) - Quincy Regional Airport continues to be a busy place for the past month as area air travelers have taken advantage of Cape Air's reduced ticket pricing of $39.00 on selected flights since the first of October, as well as the revised Flight Schedule since mid-October.

The results are total passenger boardings of 979 for the month of November. This enplanement count is the second highest monthly total for Cape Air since they began to provide service to the Quincy Regional Airport three years ago, and is surpassed only by the 997 boardings that occurred this past October. Of these 979 total passengers, 966 of them were classified as "revenue passengers" as per FAA Regulations and can be counted toward the goal of 10,000 revenue passengers for the Quincy Regional Airport for 2012. The total revenue passengers for 2012 now stands at 9,014, thus Quincy Regional Airport needs 986 more revenue passengers from either the scheduled air carrier, Cape Air, or any certified Charter Flight Service during the month of December to qualify the City for $1 million of Federal Grant money that can be used for Capital Infrastructure and Safety Improvement Projects at the Quincy Regional Airport.

"With the enplanement numbers so close to the 10,000 mark, I would encourage all area residents and businesses to consider using Cape Air during the month of December to help reach our goal and to qualify for the additional funding to improve our local airport" - Quincy Mayor John Spring.
