Q: Is there a fee to pay my utility bill online?
A: There is no fee to the resident to pay their utility bill online via the City of Quincy's Utility Billing ePay. The City of Quincy Department of Utilities covers all credit card and check processing fees as a courtesy to the residents.
Q: How do I create an account to manage my utility bill?
A: Creating and associating an online account takes just a few steps, and requires information located on your most recent utility bill. Please review the following document, and contact support at firstname.lastname@example.org if you require additional assistance. Utility Billing ePay Guide
Q: Can I make a payment without creating an account?
A: Yes! To make a payment without creating an account, simply visit the One Time Payment page, and enter your utility account number in the form to initate the payment process. Please review the Utility Billing ePay Guide for instructions, and contact support at email@example.com if you require additional assistance.
*Please Note: The One Time Payment form will not accept the leading zeros in front of your account number. If you are trying to make a payment and the system is rejecting your account number, please try again without entering the leading zeros.
Q: My account has been shutoff for non-payment. Can I pay online to restore my service?
A: Yes! To restore service to your acount, simply visit the Restore Service page to initiate the payment process. Once you have received a confirmation number for your payment, contact the City of Quincy Department of Utilities at 217-228-4580 to have your service restored.
Q: Can I setup automatic payments using my credit card or banking information?
A: Yes, utility customers can sign up for Auto Pay, which will automatically deduct their utility account payment using the provided payment method on the bill's due date. In order to sign up for Auto Pay, customers will need to create an online account with the City of Quincy Utility Billing ePay, and associate their utility account. *Please Note: Auto Pay will go into effect following your next quarterly bill. Customers will still need to pay their current bill by selecting their account on the Utility Accounts page, and then selecting Pay Now.
Q: Can I schedule my payment to come out on a date other than today?
A: At this time, utility payments cannot be scheduled for a future date. The City of Quincy is currently working with our software provider to incorporate this functionality into the system.
Q: Can I manage multiple utility accounts with one user profile?
A: Yes! Once you have created an account, you can associate multiple utility accounts with your user profile. You will need the most recent utility bill for every account that you manage to provide validation information confirming your authorization to associate each account. Once each account has been associated to your profile, you can view current and past bills, schedule payments, and signup for paperless statements.
