In response to the questions asked by numerous business owners, the upcoming State of Illinois Smoke Free Act will take effect on January 1, 2008 at 12:01 AM. Based upon the new State law, the City of Quincy encourages business owners to bring their establishment into compliance on or before January 1, 2008 to avoid any violation.
