City of Quincy Animal ShelterThe City of Quincy Animal Shelter is now located at 1800 North 24th Street. The sheltering services are contracted with the Katherine Road Animal Hospital. Hours of OperationIf you suspect that your animal has been lost or impounded by the City of Quincy Animal Control Officers you can contact the shelter staff by calling 217-277-8000. | A $15.00 refund will be given if the animal is altered within 60 days. |
Any owner or other person reclaiming a dog or cat
impounded for a violation of Section 22.111 for a
second time in any twelve (12) month period shall
pay an impoundment fee of $20. The impoundment fees
stated above shall be increased by twice the amount
of the impound fee last assessed for each instance
in any twelve (12) month period that the same animal
is impounded for a violation of Section 22.111.

Each owner shall provide proof of current rabies vaccination or the animal will be vaccinated at the time of pickup for a fee.
No animal will be released without a rabies vaccination.
