PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Funds

The Quincy Police Department and the Adams County Sheriff’s Department are soliciting public input into the use of Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Funds being applied for.  If awarded, both Departments will equally share $30,200.00. The Adams County Sheriff’s Department intends to use their share of the awarded funds to purchase bullet proof vests for their sworn personnel.  The Quincy Police Department intends to use their share of the awarded funds to purchase a telephone recording system to replace the one the department had that is no longer functioning.  The public is invited to submit their views on the intended use of these funds by submitting a response, no later than June 29, 2010 to Officer James Cress either by a postal letter addressed to him at the Quincy Police Department address or by E-mailing him at jcress@quincyil.gov.
