The Information Technology Department
provides services to support the operations of City departments.
The Information Technology Department also supports the Quincy Public
Library, the COQ Institutional Network (INET) and Quincy Regional
Airport. |

The Information Technology Department coordinates all computer and telecommunication activities. This includes the purchase of computer hardware and software, pagers, cellular phones and telephones. The department also oversees the repairs of all computer hardware and any telecommunication equipment. The Information Technology Department handles video taping of the weekly council meetings and any other special city governmental events. |

For the past couple of years, the
department has been developing programming for channel 15, the
governmental cable channel. The Director of Information
Technology oversees federal and state information security mandates
and regulations, physical security for all city facilities, and
employee identify theft regulations.
