The Human Resource Director is responsible for the
administration of five (5) Bargaining Unit Union Contracts including
911, Police, Fire, Transit, and Machinist. Also included under the
direction of the Human Resource Department is recruitment of new
employees, employee benefits, and Risk Management.
The City's liability insurance is handled through Risk
Management. This includes insurance coverage on all
City property and vehicles. Claims against the City of
Quincy are submitted to the Risk Management Office.
These claims vary from workman's compensation to
property and vehicle damages.
Employee safety training is an important part of Risk Management. City employees are routinely trained on various workplace safety issues. The goal of Risk Management is to educate City employees of possible hazards in the workplace and provide a safe work zone.
