Juvenile Fire Setting CounselingAs a community service, the Quincy Fire Department is
pleased to provide juvenile counseling to children who are displaying a
preoccupation with fire. This would apply to children who have a history
of setting fires or playing with fire. The program involves fire education
awareness sessions with joint participation between both the child and
parent. Sessions are private and participation is confidential!
Lt. Ralph Boden acts as the department’s juvenile counselor. He has
received extensive training in the early intervention of potential
destructive or dangerous behavior. To speak with Lt. Boden
concerning your child or to schedule an appointment contact the Fire
Chief’s Office. Parents, here are some things you can do:
Teach Your Child About Fire
Control Your Child’s Access to Fire
Set a Good Example
