The Clerk is responsible for posting the weekly
City Council agenda. This agenda is
posted by noon on the Friday before the next
regularly schedule meeting, which is every Monday at
7:30 p.m. Deadline for submitting material to the
City Clerk's Office for the City Council agenda,
including written permission to address the City
Council, is 11 :00 a.m. on Friday. This is a
requirement of the Open Meetings Act.
Meeting minutes
are available after the City Council has approved
their contents. You may view the approved Minutes
which have been published on this site by
corresponding date. These are available for 60 days.
The Clerk's office also maintains an up to date copy
of the Quincy Municipal Code, which is also located on
the city's web site.
The City Clerk is also the Ex-Officio Town Clerk and
co-signs all Quincy Township checks, payroll and
bills.

licenses issued from the City Clerk's Office are:
Second Hand Stores, Trailer Parks, Auctioneer,
Auction House, Live
Entertainment, Bowling Lanes, Pool Tables, Junk
Yard, Sign Contractor, Peddler, Taxicab/Limousine,
Taxicab Driver, Trapshooting, Solicitor, Carnival,
Circus, Going Out of Business (As required by State
Law), Handbill (Passing), House Moving, Raffle,
Sound Car, Firework Display, Coin Operated Amusement
Device, Liquor Licenses.
The office also issues sport hunting and fishing
licenses along with commercial fishing tags for the
Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
