Approve the minutes of the
June 8, 2010 meeting.

Public hearing on an amendment to Section 29.202 (10) (a) (8) e)
[Downtown districts, Ground-mounted signs] of the Zoning Ordinance to
increase the allowable height of ground-mounted signs in the Downtown
Districts from 6 feet to 8 feet, to decrease the minimum distance from
any property line of such signs except when located on corner lots from
10 feet to 2 feet; to clarify the location of such signs when located on
corner lots; and to clarify that any area of a ground-mounted sign with
text, figures, or symbols shall be considered to be part of the sign
face. Tabled from the June 2010 meeting.

Public hearing on an amendment to Section 29.1409 [General Sign
Requirements] of the Zoning Ordinance adding a Paragraph (8) to clarify
the location of ground-mounted signs when located on corner lots; on an
amendment to Section 29.1411 (1) (d) [Allowable signs, Ground-mounted
signs] of the Zoning Ordinance to clarify that any area of a
ground-mounted sign with text, figures, or symbols shall be considered
to be part of the sign face; and on an amendment to Section 29.1411 (2)
(d) [Commercial Signage, Location and height, Ground-mounted signs] of
the Zoning Ordinance to increase the allowable height of ground-mounted
signs in Commercial and Industrial Districts from 6 feet to 8 feet.
