Tree Trimming Program Meeting Notice
 

Meeting Date:	Thursday, March 18, 2010
Time:	6:00 p.m.
Place:	Quincy Senior Center

The City of Quincy Tree Commission is sponsoring an educational meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. on March 18, 2010 at the Quincy Senior Center.  The public is encouraged to attend and listen to featured speakers discuss tree trimming standards and the importance of forestry.  A free copy of the Tree Owner’s Manual for the Northeastern and Midwestern United States published by the U.S. Forest Service, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and other groups will be available.  The Ameren Corporation will also be presenting their Right Tree, Right Place Program and will discuss the current tree trimming standards in conjunction with utilities. 

Ameren will be trimming trees for power line protection in the flowing locations this year: Blessing Hospital, 8^th & Chestnut, 14^th & Madison, Front Street, 6^th & Ohio.
